Chelsea’s England defender Gary Cahill is another player linked with a move to Turkey, after reports emerged that he had been given permission to talk to Galatasary.
Cahill was Chelsea club captain last season but has since fallen out of favour with new manager Maurizio Sarri, and has failed to make their 18 man squad for any of the opening fixtures so far this campaign.
That has presented Galatasary with their opportunity, with reports suggesting that representatives from the two clubs have already met to begin negotiations over his transfer.
Cahill has played more than 280 times for Chelsea since signing for them from Bolton Wanderers some six years ago. However, he is out of contract at the end of the season and, with the club unlikely to offer him a new one, it may be an opportune time for him to move, if he wants to secure regular first-team football.
