While Manchester City may have started the new season where they left off last, with a dominant victory over Arsenal, and a thrashing of Huddersfield Town, things are not going so well for them on the training ground.
First, Belgian midfielder Kevin de Bruyne picked-up the knee injury which will see him miss at least three months of the season. And now comes news that back-up keeper Claudio Bravo has ruptured his Achilles tendon, and may be set to miss most of the rest of this campaign.
Bravo is set to see a specialist in Barcelona to determine the full extent of his injury, but, depending on the outcome, City could find themselves with only one senior goalkeeper at the club in the form of Ederson, having sold both Joe Hart and Angus Gunn in the summer.
With the only back-up 20-year old Academy graduate Daniel Grimshaw, and with the transfer window now shut, City may be forced to recall, according to The Daily Telegraph, under-21 Montenegro international Aro Muric, who is currently on loan with Eredivisie side NAC Breda.
