It has been a bad week for Celtic. Beaten away at Hearts on Sunday, they then crashed out of the Champions League on Tuesday night, going down to Greek side AEK Athens, a result which saw both manager Brendan Rogers and his Board come under fire over the club’s transfer policy.
Now comes worse news after reports emerged from France that Marseille are ready to make a £13.5 million bid for forward Moussa Dembele before the end of the transfer window.
Former Fulham star Dembele has been at Parkhead since signing for Celtic on a 4 year deal in June 2016. He has since gone on to score 50 goals in 91 appearances for the Green and White hoops, and has helped them win two successive domestic trebles.
He has been linked previously with moves back to England, but with no bids received for him in the recent window, he could be set for a return to French football, with the continental transfer window still open for another fortnight.
