Celtic expects to welcome talented Australian youngster Daniel Arzani on loan this week, once the player completes a move from his current club, Melbourne City, to Manchester City.
Arzani, who, at 19, is already a full Australian international, with 5 caps to his name, including three substitute appearances at the World Cup in Russia, is set to complete his move to the Premier League champions in the next few days, and then will immediately be sent on a season long loan to Parkhead in order to get more experience of first-team football.
Celtic manager Brandan Rodgers acknowledged the likely move after his side’s convincing 3 – 1 season opening win over Livingston when, as quoted by The Daily Telegraph he said ““He is another exciting young talent and we will see if we can get that organised in the next few days.”
Arzani, who can play either as an attacking midfielder or winger, is of Iranian heritage and was actually born in Iran, but has chosen to play for his adopted country of Australia instead.
