Aston Villa are eyeing a loan move for Liverpool striker Ben Woodburn, with Sheffield United also interested in the Welsh striker.
The 18-year old forward has not travelled to Liverpool’s training camp in France, but instead remains in England to thrash out a deal which will give him regular first team football next season.
Villa are in the hunt after a transfer embargo, which The Daily Telegraph reveals, was put in place by the Football League because of the cash crisis the club faced, was lifted following the injection of new money into the club by new majority owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens.
Woodburn became the youngest-ever player to score for Liverpool when he scored in a EFL Cup quarter-final win over Leeds u=in November 2016, , and is highly rated by Jurgen Klopp who believes he has a big future at Anfield, but recognises that he needs game time to progress to the next level.
