Wolves are expected to add to their squad ahead of their first season back in the Premier League by signing Atletico Madrid full-back Jonny Castro on a season-long loan.
24-year old Castro signed for Atletico from fellow La Liga club Celta Vigo earlier this week for £5 million (€6 million) reports The Sun, and now the Madrid club have immediately sent him to Wolves for a loan move for the rest of the season.
A native of Galicia, Castro played his youth football with Celta and progressed through the ranks there up to the first team, making 183 appearances for them in all competitions over six year period at the club. He has been capped by Spain at all levels up to under-21, and has twice been named in the squad for the senior side, without making it onto the pitch on either occasion.
A versatile defender, Castro can play either as a right or a left-back.
