Fulham and Crystal Palace are amongst the clubs competing to sign former Chelsea winger Andre Schürrle.
The German international, who spent eighteen months at Stamford Bridge and who won a Premier League medal in his second season with Chelsea, even though he only played in 14 games, has been told he can leave his present club Borussia Dortmund this summer, and has returned early from his side’s participation in the International Champions Cup in the USA to hold discussions with interested parties.
Part of the victorious German World Cup winning squad of 2014, Schürrle has already been linked with a move to Crystal Palace with Dortmund, according to The Sun, hoping to offer the 27-year old as part of a deal to sign Wilfried Zaha.
Now Fulham may be ready to make a move for a player which would see him make a return to West London some three years after leaving when he signed for Wolfsburg.
