Leeds United have completed a season-long loan deal for Chelsea reserve goalkeeper Jamal Blackman.
A graduate of the Stamford Bridge academy, Blackman knows the Championship well, having spent last season on loan at Sheffield United for whom he made 33 appearances.
Blackman becomes the second Chelsea player to move to Leeds on loan this summer, as he follows in the footsteps of club colleague Lewis Baker, who made a similar switch last month.
According to the BBC, Blackman will contest the starting spot at Elland Road with Bailey Peacock-Farrell, as the other two contenders for the goalkeeping position at Leeds, Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan, have both left the club in the current transfer window.
24-year old Blackman has been at Chelsea since he was 12 years old, but has yet to make a senior appearance for the club, with his loan spell at Sheffield United preceded by a similar time at League 2 side Wycombe Wanderers, as well as a brief period spent at Swedish side Östersunds.
