Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Bordeaux about signing Brazilian forward Malcom.
Spurs were heavily linked with the 21-year last transfer window, with both Arsenal and Liverpool set to be interested in him as well, whilst Inter Milan were the latest team to make enquiries with Bordeaux about his availability, before the French club’s valuation of the winger at £45 million prompted then to turn their attentions elsewhere, with former West Ham favourite Dimitri Payet now rumoured to be on their wish list.
Now, according to talkSPORT, Spurs chiefs have opened formal talks with their Bordeaux counterparts to try and thrash out a deal.
Malcom joined Bordeaux from Brazilian side Corinthians as a teenage in January 2016, and has since made 96 appearances for the Ligue 1 club in all competitions, scoring 23 goals.
If Malcom does make the move he will join another Brazilian winger at Spurs in the form of Lucas Moura, who joined Spurs from PSG in January. He will, however, hope for more first-team action than his compatriot, who, so far in his Spurs’ career, has been limited to cameo roles and substitute appearances.
