Reports suggest that West Ham and Everton are battling it out to sign Toulouse captain Isso Diop.
The 21-year old centre back, who stands 6ft 3ins tall, is of Senegalese descent but was born in Toulouse and has played for his hometown club since 2015, racking up 85 appearances in the process. A tough tackler, Diop is no stranger when it comes to referees, collecting six yellows cards and two red cards during his first full season with Toulouse; ten more followed the following season, and nine more during the campaign which has just finished.
Whilst West Ham are said to have an agreement in place to sign Diop, The Sun reports that Everton are closely monitoring the situation, and may be ready to make a counter offer, with new Toffees manager Marco Silva ready to overhaul the defence at Goodison Park.
Diop has represented France at every international level up to under-21. His grandfather, Labysse Diop, was the first Senegalese footballer to play in Ligue 1.
