Swansea City reject Fulham bid for Jordan Ayew

Newly-promoted Fulham have had a transfer bid for Swansea City forward Jordan Ayew turned down by the Welsh club.

Fulham are believed to have offered around £8 million for the Ghanian striker, but this has been turned down, along with bids from West Ham United for goalkeeper Lucasz Fabianski and central defender Alfie Mawson.

Ayew, whose brother Andre also plays for Swansea, moved to the Liberty Stadium in January 2017 from Aston Villa, and has since gone on to score 11 goals for the club in 44 appearances.

It remains to be seen if Fulham will go back in with a revised bid for Ayew, as Swansea look to rebuild under their new manager Graham Potter, who has just joined the club from Swedish side Ostersunds.

The BBC reports that West Ham are still trying to secure a deal for Fabianski, and further bids for Mawson can also be expected over the summer.
