The Daily Mail reports that West Ham United have launched a bid for Lazio winger Felipe Anderson, with talks apparently taking place with the Serie A side and the Brazilian’s representatives.
Anderson, who has been a stand-out performer in Serie A for several seasons, has previously been on the radar of both Chelsea and Manchester United, and, reputedly, is keen to move to East London and play under new West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini.
He played 32 games for the Italian side last season and scored 8 goals in all competitions, and provided 10 assists. He helped his side to the Europa League quarter-finals, and to a strong finish in Serie A, although they lost out on a Champions League spot after a last-day defeat to Inter Milan.
Elsewhere, West Ham are being linked with a £13 million offer for Barcelona defender Marlon Santos and with a move for Fulham right-back Ryan Fredericks.
