Tottenham teenager Keenan Bennetts is the latest England youth international to move to the Bundesliga, with Spurs official website confirming that he has joined Borussia Monchengladbach.
Bennetts is following in the footsteps of the likes of former Manchester City winger Jadon Sancho and Everton forward Ademola Lookman who have all moved to Germany in the past year in search of first-team football.
Born in Edgware to a German mother and a Nigerian father, he represented Germany at under-15 international level, before switching his allegiance to England.
Monchengladbach already have two other young Englishmen on their books – Mandala Egbo, a former England under-18 international who they took from Crystal Palace in 2015, and Reece Oxford from West Ham who is currently on loan with them.
Spurs are in line to receive a fee for Bennetts who can play on the left side of attack or defence, and who has impressed for their under-23 side this season.
