According to the Metro, Manchester United are on the verge of clinching the transfer of Juventus left back, Alex Sandro, with formal confirmation expected in the next few days, once the FA Cup Final with Chelsea is over.
Sandro has made 113 appearances for Juventus since signing for them from Porto back in 2015, but after months of speculation, looks like he is ready to move to United with a reported £44 million fee set to be paid for his services.
It is expected that Matteo Darmian will move in the opposite direction, although he is not part of the Sandro deal.
27-year old Sandro has ten full international caps for Brazil, but, sadly for him, he has not been named in his country’s 23-man World Cup squad for Russia.
Sandro’s arrival at Old Trafford casts further doubts on the future of Luke Shaw at the club, whilst Ashley Young, who has been playing as a converted full-back, may also be worried about how much playing time he will get next season.
