The Evening Standard reports that Yohan Cabaye is set to hold talks with Crystal Palace over a new deal next week.
The midfielder is out of contract at Selhurst Park this summer, and, whilst the South London club want to keep the 32-year old Frenchman at the club, it is likely he will have to take a cut to his £100,000 wages if he is to stay.
Cabaye has been widely tipped with a move back to his native France, and Marseille, having been pictured at their training ground prior to their Europa League final against Atletico Madrid. However, he is now set to return to London for further discussions about his future with Palace chairman Steve Parrish.
Palace are set to lose Ruben Loftus Cheek, who has just been called into Gareth Southgate’s World Cup England squad, following the end of his loan deal from Chelsea, and do not want another important midfielder to depart the club.
