Tottenham youngsters sign new deals with the club

Sky Sports report that two of Tottenham’s brightest young talents have signed new deals with the club.

22-year old midfielder Harry Winks has signed a new five year deal which will see him stay at the club until 2023, whilst centre-half, Cameron Carter-Vickers, who spent last season on loan with Sheffield United and Ipswich, has now committed his future until 2021.

Winks made 25 appearances for Spurs last season and broke into the England squad, making his debut in a World Cup qualifier against Lithuania last October. However, his progress has been hampered since the start of this year by ankle injury, and he is shortly scheduled for surgery, with the club hoping he will be back in time for pre-season.

Carter-Vickers, who is 20, is also a full international. Although he was born in Southend, he is eligible for a US passport, and American coaches fast-tracked him into their international set-up to forestall him being called–up by his native country.
