According to talkSPORT, Chelsea are ready to move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edison Cavani, as rumours continue to circulate about the future of Alvaro Morata at Stamford Bridge.
Morata has been linked with a move away from West London, just a year after arriving in the capital in a £60 million deal from Real Madrid, and a return to former side Juventus is said to be on the cards. Despite starting well with The Blues, scoring in his first six games, Morata has since struggled at Chelsea, scoring only five more times, and recently lost his place in the starting line-up to Olivier Giroud.
If Morata is to leave, Cavani may be an ideal replacement. The 31-year old Uruguayan is PSG’s all-time leading goalscorer and has netted 39 goals in all competitions for the French champions this season. Despite that, they may still be prepared to let him go, because of a number of rows Cavani has had with the club’s record signing, Neymar, not least of who was going to take penalties, earlier this season.
