Emre Can agrees 5-year deal with Juventus

One of the longest-running transfer sagas in English football seems to be at an end, reports The Daily Mail, after news that Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is set to sign a 5-year deal with Italian champions Juventus.

Can is out of contract at Anfield next month, and having refused to sign a new deal, has been free to talk to other non-English clubs since January. Now it appears that his future has been decided, and the 24-year old will move to Turin for a reported salary of £5.3 million a season.

Kept out of the Liverpool side by a back injury since March, Can is ready to bring an end to his four year spell at Anfield which has seen him make 166 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 14 goals in the process.

It is reported that Juventus will officially announce the signing of Can after the second leg of Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final against Roma on Wednesday.
