The Daily Mirror reports that Spurs are interested in three Portuguese international players as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
The trio are winger Gelson Martins, Southampton right-back Cedric Soares, and Wolves influential midfielder Ruben Neves.
Martins, who currently plays for Sporting Lisbon, is a winger who can play on either flank, whilst Neves, named in the EFL Championship Team of the Season, has had a major impact in his first year in English football, helping propel his team back to the Premier League. Soares, meanwhile, is already well-known in England from his time at Southampton, a club he is ready to leave in the event that they fail to hang on to their top-flight status in what remains of the season.
All three men fit Mauricio Pochettino’s blueprint for Tottenham in that they are young – Soares is the youngest at 26 – versatile and have pace.
