New Arsenal manager faces restricted transfer budget this summer

According to talkSPORT, the new Arsenal manager will be given a restricted transfer budget of only £50 million to spend this summer.

With Arsene Wenger finally set to depart in the summer, fans would have been hoping that his successor will be given significant funds to overhaul the squad, along the lines of the money that was made available to both Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho when they took over at Manchester City and United respectively.

However, now it appears that the new incumbent at The Emirates will have a restricted transfer budget this summer, because the club has spent big in the last 2 transfer windows, buying the likes of Alexander Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and also handing lucrative new contracts to the like of Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

That could force the new man, whoever it is, to raise more funds by selling in-demand or soon to be out-of- contract players, such as Hector Bellerin, Aaron Ramsey or Danny Welbeck.
