According to talkSPORT, Manchester United are ready to battle with Barcelona to sign Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet.
The French centre-back moved to Sevilla from Nancy last January, and has since gone on to impress in his first full season in La Liga, making 48 appearances in all competitions this campaign, and scoring 4 goals. The Catalans have already made enquiries about the player’s availability, who is under contract until June 2021, but now they have been joined in the hunt by United, with manager Jose Mourinho looking to strengthen his defensive options this summer.
Rated at £20 million, Lenglet is apparently now on United’s shopping list, although the player and his Sevilla team mates are still licking their wounds after being thrashed five – nil by Barcelona in the final of the Copa Del Rey on Saturday.
Lenglet has represented France at every age group up to the under-21 level, but has yet to break into the full international team.
