Ruben Loftus-Cheek has said that he will consider his future once Crystal Palace have successfully ensured survival in the Premier League, reports BT Sport.
The 22-year old midfielder is on a season-long loan to Palace from Chelsea, and now the South London club are eyeing up a permanent move for the player who has also broken into the England team this season after a string of impressive performers for the Premier League strugglers.
Speaking after his team’s 3 – 2 victory over Brighton on Saturday which gave the club three precious points in their bid for survival, Loftus-Cheek said “I really haven’t thought about what’s going to happen next season. I’ll deal with that when it comes”.
Palace are now six points clear of Southampton who occupy the last relegation spot at present, and will be hopeful of capturing the points they need to maintain their run in the Premier League, something which manager Roy Hodgson recognises is important if players of the calibre of Loftus-Cheek are going to consider the club as a serious option for next season.
