According to The Daily Mail, Manchester City want to add £20 million Brazil defender Eder Militao to their squad this summer.
City manager Pep Guardiola wants to strengthen this playing squad further when the transfer window opens, after failing to get past Liverpool in their Champions League quarter-final. A move for Shaktar Donetsk midfielder Fred is reported to be on the cards, and there is also talk that the club are ready to rekindle efforts to sign Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez.
Now it appears that Militao could be added to that list, with the Sao Paolo player said to be one of Guardiola’s top targets. The 20-year old is primarily a right-back. but he is a versatile performer who can also play anywhere across the defensive line and in midfield as well. Valued at £20 million, City are not likely to have the field to themselves when it comes to securing Militao’s signature, with Portuguese side Porto also heavily interested in the player.
