According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United are ready to join Chelsea and Everton in the race to sign Watford star Richarlison, with the club eyeing the Brazilian as a potential replacement for Anthony Martial.
The 20-year old forward made an immediate impact in his first season in English football, scoring 5 goals in his first 12 games for Watford. The goals have since dried-up, and he has not scored since netting against West Ham in November, but that has not deterred a number of clubs targeting him for a summer move, including Chelsea and Everton.
However, United are now reported to be amongst those monitoring the player, after reports have emerged that their French forward Anthony Martial could be set to leave Old Trafford in the summer having turned down a new deal with the club.
Richarlison is regarded as a similar player to Martial in that he is a wide forward with lots of pace. However, Watford are unlikely to let him go cheaply, despite paying only £11.2 million to Fluminese for him in July 2017, with a fee of around £40 million likely to be attached to the Brazil under-20 international.
