The Sun reports that while Manchester City failed to find the net in their Champions League tie against Liverpool on Wednesday night, they have scored big-time off the pitch by agreeing a lucrative sponsor with dating app Tinder.
The multi-million pound deal involves both City’s men’s and women’s teams as well as MLS franchise club New York City FC. To celebrate the deal, a Tinder and Manchester-City-branded blimp will fly over Manchester on Saturday, ahead of the derby with United.
Ahead of the weekend’s clash, which could see the team clinch the Premier League title, Tinder is also switching its colours across social media platforms to the light blue worn by City.
The news will come as some consolation to City as they were emphatically beaten by their Northern rivals in their Champions League quarter-final, failing to register a single shot on target for the first time since October 2016.
