Mesut Ozil responded in kind to the Stoke police force who had mocked him earlier in the season, reports Metro.
When Arsenal travelled to Stoke earlier in the season, Ozil was heavily criticised for his performance, with the local police even jokingly complain that he was the subject of a “missing person’s “ investigation.
Now the German international has hit back after his side’s 3 – 0 victory over the Potters on Sunday tweeting “Didn’t help in the case of robbery last summer so we took matters into our own hands. Proud to announce we earned three hard fought points today.”
It was an eventful game for Ozil, who was brought down in the box to earn Arsenal the controversial penalty that enabled Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to give the Gunners the lead. Then he had a fierce on-pitch row with teammate Hector Bellerin after the Spaniard played a loose pass with Stoke trying to find a way back into the match, telling the full-back that “you speak too much”. Fortunately, both men calmed down afterwards and were able to laugh at the incident on their social media accounts.
