According to The Daily Mirror, Liverpool are ready to hijack Manchester United’s move for Brazilian Talisca.
United have been hot favourites to sign the attacking midfielder who is spending the season on loan in Turkey with Besiktas from Portuguese champions Benfica. Now it looks like Liverpool are keen on signing the player as well, and are ready to try and beat United to his signature.
Talisca, who can play either in midfield or as a forward has scored 16 goals in all competitions this season, and it was claimed last week that United were closing in on a £35 million deal for his services. However, Liverpool may be ready to step in and steal him away from their Northern rivals.
The 24-year old was a surprise inclusion in Brazil’s squad for their friendly internationals against Russia and Germany, although he did not make the bench even for the side that beat the Russians by three goals to nil in Moscow on Friday, with goals from Miranda, Philippe Coutinho and Paulinho.
