Not content with battling each other on the field for a place in the Europa League quarter-finals, Arsenal and AC Milan are set for a clash off the field as well, reports the Metro, as both clubs vie to sign Udinese Jakub Jankto.
Now his agent has confirmed that talks are likely to take place with representatives of both clubs, with the player likely to move in the summer.
The 22-year old Czech midfielder has been on Arsenal’s radar for nearly 2 years, but now they have been joined in their pursuit of the player by Milan, with the player’s agent Giuseppi Riso telling RMC Sport “They are eligible teams. Milan and Arsenal are attentive to youngsters, we’ll definitely talk with them”.
Jankto has started in 21 of Udinese’s 26 League games this season, scoring three goals and providing four assists. He began his career at Slavia Prague, before making his move to Udinese for whom he has made 55 appearances in all competitions, after spending a season on loan at Serie B side Ascoli.
