Chelsea ready to offer Hazard £300,000 a week to sign new deal

The Daily Mail reports that Chelsea are prepared to offer Eden Hazard £300,000 a week to sign a new deal, amidst reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

His current contract at Chelsea extends until 2020, but the club have made extending it a major priority, along with securing the future of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and moves for Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski.

Since signing from French club Lille in 2012, Hazard has made 286 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions, scoring 87 times. He has won two Premier League titles, the EFL Cup and the Europa League during his time in West London.

Hazard is likely to feature heavily for the Belgian national side in this year’s World Cup finals, and is almost certain to line-up when his side meets England in Volgograd on June 28th.

He is also part-owner, along with Demba Ba, Yohan Cabaye and Moussa Sow of North American Soccer League franchise San Diego 1904 FC, scheduled to begin playing matches this year.
