The Daily Telegraph reports that Tottenham Hotspur are ready to offer £35 million to sign Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon in the summer.
The 17-year old left-back is one of the most coveted players outside the Premier League, not only for his defensive capabilities but also for his attacking prowess, having scored eight times in 2018 already, a tally only betted by Sergio Aguerro in England’s top 4 divisions, and once again found the net on Saturday as Fulham beat Championship leaders Wolves by two goals to nil.
Manchester United are also interested in the England under-19 player, but Tottenham are believed to be at the front of the queue to sign him and are ready to structure a deal worth £35 million to secure him, which would make Sessegnon the second most expensive player at White Hart Lane after defender Davison Sanchez.
While Fulham do not want to part with their star talent, they may reluctantly sell him if they fail to gain promotion to the Premiership this season, although they believe that Sessegnon is worth £50 million.
