It is not only in the Champions League that Chelsea and Barcelona are competing against each other, according to The Daily Mirror, as both clubs are also battling to secure the summer signature of Caen teenager Yann Karamoh.
The 19-year old forward joined Inter Milan on a two year loan deal at the start of this season, and the Italian club are obliged to buy him at the end of the 2018-2019 campaign. However, this has not deterred either Chelsea or Barcelona from pursuing him, with a fee in the £25 million range being mooted.
Karamoh was born in the Ivory Coast but is eligible to play for France, and has won two caps at under-21 level for his adoptive country.
The teenager made his Serie A debut for Inter as a substitute against Genoa in September and recently scored his first goal in the club’s 2 -1 win against Bologna.
