According to The Sun, Manchester United are being linked with Napoli’s Jorginho, with the player’s agent saying that he could be sold by the Serie A club in the summer, despite being happy with them.
Jorginho is one of three targets being considered by United, along with Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and Nice’s Jean Michael Sarin.
The player had previously discussed a move to Manchester, but, at the time, dismissed it saying he would not enjoy the wet weather in the North-West of England. Now it appears there appears to have been a change of heart, with rumours of Lucas Torreira arriving from Sampdoria in the summer to threaten his place in the Napoli side.
Jorginho is a defensive midfielder who was born in Brazil but is of Italian parentage and moved to Italy at a young age. Eligible to play for both Brazil and Italy, he has opted to represent the European country. He made his first competitive appearance for Italy in their 0-0 draw against Sweden in the World Cup play-off tie in November which confirmed their failure to qualify for this year’s tournament.
