According to The Sun, Arsenal are amongst a host of clubs interested in Juventus centre-back Daniele Rugani.
The 23-year old is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Italian football, and has made 44 appearances for Juventus in Serie A since breaking into their first-team as a teenager. However, he has struggled for consistency this season and has found himself frequently left on the bench.
Now it looks like a move away from Turin may be on the cards for him, with Arsenal keen on securing his services in a £25 million deal.
Gunners’ sources indicate that, having strengthened their striking options in January after the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, improving their defensive and midfield is likely to be the focus of the club’s summer transfer business, as well as getting a new goalkeeper. Rugani, who is a full Italian international, is one of several players linked, with Manchester United’s Chris Smalling also being mentioned as a possible summer arrival.
