Borussia Dortmund will launch a bid to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on a permanent basis in the summer, reports the Evening Standard.
Batshuayi moved to Dortmund on loan in January, as part of the complicated exchange deal which saw Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang join Arsenal, and Olivier Giroud to cross London to Chelsea.
The 24-year old Belgian has already made his mark in Germany, scoring three goals in his two Bundesliga appearances to date, and the German club have been so impressed with him they want to sign him to a permanent deal, having failed to convince Chelsea to agree an option to buy as part of his loan deal.
The striker joined Chelsea from Marseille in 2016 in a £33.1 million deal, but struggled to convince manager Antonio Conte about his ability, and was frequently left on the bench or omitted from squads altogether, with the Italian often preferring to play Eden Hazard as a false nine, when his main striker, Diego Costa last season and Alvaro Morata this, was not available.
