The Mirror reports that Manchester United may struggle to hang on to midfielder Ander Herrera, with AC Milan said to be plotting a £32 million summer move for the Spaniard.
The 28-year old has found it difficult to get first-team minutes in the Premier League this season, with Nemanja Matic preferred in his place, and did not even make the bench for his side’s away defeat at Newcastle in Sunday.
However, United are reluctant to let the Spanish player leave, with Michael Carrick set to retire at the end of the season and Marouane Fellaini yet to sign a new deal at Old Trafford.
Herrera has played 151 times for United in all competitions since signing from Athletic Bilbao in a £28 million deal in 2014. Last week it was reported that the player faces trial, along with a number of other players and club officials, over match-fixing allegations which date back to when he played for another Spanish club, Real Zaragoza back in 2011.
