As reported by SkySports and confirmed by the club on their official site, Liverpool have completed the signing of 18-year old Columbian defender Anderson Arroyo.
Although the transfer window has now been closed for six days, the deal was actually completed before deadline day, but it has taken until now for all the paperwork to be completed and the necessary international clearances obtained.
Arroyo, who can play on both the right and left hand side of defence, is a Columbian under-20 international who progressed at youth level with his home town club Fortaleze CIF, and made 22 appearances for their senior team before his switch to Anfield.
However, Liverpool fans will not be seeing him in action any time soon, at least in the Premier League. He does not qualify for a work permit currently, so the Anfield club have agreed to lend him to Spanish second division side Real Mallorca for the next 18 months.
