According to The Daily Mirror, Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Jack Wilshere from Arsenal at the end of the season on a free transfer.
The 26-year old is out of contract at The Emirates in the summer, and has yet to agree to a new deal, although an offer to him is on the table. However, it is structured in such a way that it is heavily incentivised for him to stay fit, with his basic salary of £90,000 a week cut, and instead replaced with a performance-based package.
That gives Liverpool an opportunity, with the Reds set to match any offer to Wilshere that Arsenal make. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp regards Wilshere as an ideal replacement for Emre Can who is likely to join Juventus when his current contract at Anfield expires in June.
Klopp has already succeeded in enticing one Arsenal midfielder to Merseyside after he bought Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in a £35 million move at the start of this season. Now he looks like he might be after another one.
