The Metro reports that Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be on the verge of a move to Major League Soccer with the LA Galaxy.
The 36-year old joined Manchester United as a free agent in July 2016, and helped the club win the Europa League and EFL Cup in his first season. However, he suffered a cruciate ligament knee injury in April, and although he returned to action in November, he subsequently aggravated his knee and is currently sidelined.
Meanwhile, United signed Romelu Lukaki in the summer as their main striker, and the recent arrival of Alexis Sanchez at the club means Ibrahimovic finds himself pushed further down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
This is not the first time that the former Swedish captain has been linked with a move to the Galaxy. Prior to his move to United, and again before he picked up his injury last season, the player had discussions with the MLS club, but this time round it is said to be the “furthest along it has ever been”.
