Manchester City sign US International

According to talkSPORT, Manchester City have signed US international Mix Diskerund on a four-and-a-half year contract.

Diskerund joins City from their US sister club New York City, where he has been on the books since January 2015.  However, he has spent much of 2017 on loan with Swedish club IFK Goteborg, having failed to really establish himself in New York.

Born in Oslo, Norway to an American mother and Norwegian father, Diskerund opted to play international football for the USA, and, to date, has 38 international caps for his adopted country since making his debut in 2010. The midfielder was part of the squad that won the 2013 Gold Cup, and travelled to Brazil the following year for the World Cup, but failed to make a single appearance.

Diskerund began his club career in Norway with Stabæk, and then Rosenborg BK, before making the switch to the MSL and New York.
