Brighton are ready to pay Leicester City £1 million to take their striker Leonardo Ulloa on loan for the rest of the season, reports the Daily Mail.
The 31-year Argentine was part of the squad that won the Premier League two seasons ago, but has barely featured this season for The Foxes, making just 4 appearances in the Premier League, all from the bench.
If he does move to Brighton, Ulloa will be re-joining a club that he played for from 2012 – 2014, scoring 26 times for The Seagulls in 58 appearances in all competitions, before he was sold to Leicester for £8 million.
Brighton are the second-lowest scorers in the Premier League, and despite signing Jurgen Locadio from PSV of Holland last week in a £14 million deal, manager Chris Houghton feels the club needs more fire power, more so because another of their strikers, Glenn Murray, was arrested last week along with his wife over an alleged tax fraud.
Ulloa has scored 18 goals in 86 matches for Leicester.
