Tottenham close in on deal for Brazilian winger

Tottenham Hotspur are close to completing a move for PSG winger, Lucas Moura, according to talkSPORT, with stories emerging that the Brazilian winger has been spotted at their training ground, where he met with manager Mauricio Pocchettino and chairman Daniel Levy.

The 25-year old finds himself out of favour in Paris, where he has made just six appearances in all competitions this season, and his departure from PSG has been hastened by the demands of Financial Fair Play (FFP), which means that the French club need to reduce their wage bill following the summer recruitment of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Moura who has 36 full caps for Brazil, would add pace to a Spurs side that has sometime struggled to break teams down, especially at their adopted home of Wembley, where away sides often choose to sit deep.

One big advantage for Tottenham in signing Moura is that he will be eligible for the knock-out phases of the Champions League, not having previously represented PSG in the competition this season.

The final fee for Moura has yet to be confirmed. PSG were initially thought to want £35 million, but Spurs were likely to have offered considerably less than that.
