According to Goal.com, Chelsea defender Baba Rahman is set to leave on loan for the rest of the season to Bundesliga club Schalke.
The 23-year old Ghanaian left-back joined Chelsea from another German side Augsburg in 2015 but has endured a miserable time at Stamford Bridge and has made just 23 appearances for the club since his arrival.
A cruciate anterior ligament injury suffered at the start of January last year ruled him out of action for much of 2017, but is now fighting his way back to fitness, and Schalke, who had the player on loan for the 2016-2017 season, are keen to take him back.
For their part, Chelsea may be ready to let Rahman leave, at least in the short-term, as they are being heavily linked with a move for Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri, who is expected to sign for the Blues in the next few days.
