As reported by the Daily Mail and others, Leicester City have completed the signing of striker Fouseeni Diabate from French League 2 side Galazec Ajaccio.
Diabate, who is 22-years old, has scored three goals in 20 appearances all competitions so far this season, and was interesting a number of clubs across Europe. However, he now committed his immediate future to Leicester in a deal worth £4.4 million, and has signed a four and a half year contract.
He becomes Leicester’s second signing of the window after Adrien Silva completed his protracted move from Sporting Lisbon earlier this month.
Diabate was born in France, but has played for Mali at youth international. Although principally a forward, he is adept also on both wings, and will add to City manager Claude Puel’s attacking options. The player began his career with Reims, and then Guincamp’s reserve side before moving to Ajaccio in June last year.
