The Sun reports that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Aston Villa winger Andre Green, with Premier League rivals Bournemouth also monitoring his situation.
The 19-year old has long been tipped to have a bright future in the game, having represented England at every age level from schoolboy to under-21 level. Green is highly valued by Villa, and manager Steve Bruce had hoped he would have a big part to play in the club’s promotion push this season before a serious hamstring injury threatened to side-line him for months.
However, he has returned to action sooner than expected, which means that rumours of possible transfer moves have been reignited.
Spurs made efforts to sign Green 2 years ago but, at that stage, he decided it was better for him to continue his development at Villa. However, the interest from North London remains and Tottenham may be ready to make a move for him before the January window closes.
