According to the DailyMail, Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin is in talks with La Liga side Valencia over a £12 million transfer.
The 26-year old is also wanted by West Ham United but it appears that the Frenchman would prefer to head to Spain rather than stay in London.
Coquelin has found himself on the fringes of Arsenal first team side season, with manager Arsene Wenger commenting last week that the player had paid a “heavy price” for the side’s recent change in formation. This has meant that his Premier League appearances have been limited, and he has mainly been used off the bench and in the club’s Carabao Cup and Europa League campaigns.
The defensive midfielder has made 159 appearances for Arsenal since joining them as a teenager from French side Stade Lavallois in July 2008, although his tenure was punctuated by a loan spell in the Bundesliga with Freiburg and, then, briefly, with Charlton Athletic.
