With Philippe Coutinho now set to join Barcelona in a deal said to be worth £142 million, Liverpool are said to have already lined-up his replacement in the form of Monaco wide man Thomas Lemar, according to The Mirror.
The 22-year old French international was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer, but a £90 million deal failed to materialise, and, despite continued interest from The Gunners and clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea, Lemar is now thought to favour a move to Anfield and the chance to play under manager Jurgen Klopp.
Monaco had previously indicated a desire to keep hold of their young winger, but their stance has softened with the team out of The Champions League and trailing PSG by 9 points in Ligue 1. For his part, Lemar would welcome a move to a high profile team as he looks to secure a berth in Didier Deschamps World Cup squad.
