Klopp refuses to rule out Coutinho exit in January

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has refused to rule out the possibility of Philippe Coutinho leaving the club in January as Barcelona are set to make another bid to prize the 25-year old Brazilian away from Anfield.

The Catalan club had 3 offers for the player turned down in the summer, including a bid of £119 million, but, although Coutinho is under contract at Liverpool until 2022, they are still keen on acquiring his services, and are preparing to come back with a fresh proposal once the January transfer window opens.

Although Klopp had previously insisted that Coutinho was not for sale at any price, he was more guarded in his language when questioned by reporters ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Spartak Moscow, saying that he had nothing to say on the matter.

For his part, the player was reported to be very upset when Liverpool blocked his move to Catalonia in the summer, and nothing has happened since to suggest he would not welcome a transfer to Barcelona.
