Liverpool are set to go head-to-head with Premier League rivals Chelsea and Arsenal for the signature of Shaktar Donetsk winger Bernard.
The 25-year old Brazilian international has made 76 appearances for the Ukrainian side, and scored 8 goals, since joining them in a €25 million (£22 million) deal from Atletico Mineiro in August 2013.
However, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, and the player showing no indication that he wants to stay with Shaktar, a move to the Premier League could be on the cards, with Bernard himself indicating he wants to stay in Europe.
Rather than lose the player at the end of his contract for nothing, Shaktar are ready to offer him for sale in the January window, with a fee of £11.5 million relatively cheap for a player who has 14 international caps for his country.
