Daniel Sturridge ready to quit Liverpool in January

sturridge news

Daniel Sturridge is ready to leave Liverpool in January in order to try and save his chances of playing for England in The World Cup next year.

The 28-year old finds himself struggling for game time at Anfield, and was an unused substitute against Southampton at the weekend. Now he wants to try and force a move away from the club, either on loan or on a permanent deal, as he tries to salvage his World Cup dreams.

England manager Gareth Southgate left him out of the squad for the recent friendlies against Germany and Brazil, on the grounds he was not playing regularly enough for his club to warrant a place.

The injury-prone striker has made 8 Premier League appearances for Liverpool so far this season, and scored two goals, but often struggles to get in the team ahead of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

The news that Sturridge may be available in January is sure to arouse interest amongst a host of Premier League rivals, whilst a move abroad cannot be discounted either, given that PSG are amongst the clubs who have shown previous interest in the player.
