Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have all been put on alert by the news that Real Madrid may be ready to sell Gareth Bale for £85 million.
This follows the Welshman’s latest injury setback, with a groin strain picked-up in training set to rule him out of action until January. Bale had just returned to first-team training after a calf injury which he incurred in the Champions League playing against Borussia Dortmund.
With another spell on the sidelines facing the player, Real are reported to have lost patience and are willing to sell him back to the Premier League.
United have long been admirers of Bale, and have made several previous abortive attempts to lure him to Old Trafford, whilst Chelsea have also previously shown interest. Now Spurs may also be set to join the hunt, with manager Mauricio Pochettino keen on luring the forward back to North London and his previous club.
